Default Long Time Admirer, First Time Owner

Hello everyone, I recently puchased a '07 Z51 coupe and am like a pig in ****. Its like living a dreaming owning a car that was been on your desktop background for 3 years.
Overall the car is amazing, have yet to really push it yet becuase i am still under 500 miles, but there is one aspect I wanted to ask others about that i am not very pleased with.
Does anyone else notice wear already on the side lower portion of their leather seat from getting in and out of the car. I have maybe gotten in and out a bakers dozen times and i am already noticing alittle wear right on the outisde half of the lateral support of the seat. I am by no means a big guy so its not like i am squeezing it to this car. Its quite the oposite.
So if anyone else has notice the same thing and/or has a remedy please reply back.
Thanks
Rich

I too have a '07Z-51 with 3500 miles on it and have the same "wear" on the seats that you describe. I am a little bigger guy (than you it seems), but I don't think that's the issue here. The lateral support is at an angle that naturallyabsorbs theinitial forcewhenever one gets in and out of the car regardless of ones size. I have programmed the seat to move to the highest and farthest position whenI turn off the car totry and remedy this, but i'm not sure it helps much and I worry about wearing outthe seat motor quicker, but that was my solution. You could also try and set the lateral support to the widest setting, but I found that to be less comfortable for the way I drive. Look on the bright side,I figure the sooner I wear out the seat covers the easier it is to justify getting custom "jazzed up seats" from an after market specialist. Good Luck.

Yes i guess my problem would be solved if I sprung for the 3LT but I only got the 1LT. I wasnt spending my money so i wanted to keep it as low as possible but still with everythign i wanted. The car was a law school graduation gift.
What are some good leather conditioners you recomend?

Well, the seat wear is a really well know problem, all the more frustrating because the C5s had it and Gm did not correct it. See what the future holds for you in this thread.
