I recently purchased an '81. I'm looking through the threads and other searches to try and determine if this has the Gymkhana Rear End. The rear has a 7/16" sway bar that doesn't appear to be after market. The front sway bar is 1 and 1/8". From everything that I have been able to find, those two sway bars were part of the F7/Gymkhana? package. In fact, what I have been reading, is that only Gymkhana RE's have a sway bar. If it has the rear sway bar, it's Gymkhana.
But,,, It appears that I have 9 leafs on the rear spring, and the Gymkhana is supposed to only have seven leafs???
It's hard to get an actual count of the leafs, but as I run my finger down the leafs and try and count the steps, it feels like 9?
Anyone have any ideas?

The sway bars are correct for the gymkhana suspension. Not sure about the spring tho. When did they change to the fiberglass spring?
