Headlight Replacement Puzzle
Hey im having some trouble replacing my headlights on my 1970.
I raise up the lights to get to them, take out the couple of screws holding the "covers" on but once they are lose and ready to come out they are trapped between the front hood section and the actual lights, I kinda wanna pull the sides apart in order to get them out but im afraid of cracking them
im sure im missing something, please help... The only thing im thinking is that when the lights are coming up they are not coming up far enough, as they point to the ground no so far in front of the car, explaining how the re-adjust the lights would be awesome too
Thanks

Your's is way older than mine, but flipping the lights up and removing the sealed beam is like the old ones, comes out w/ the screws. Sounds like maybe you're right about the lights not flipping up far enough, which would be, I'm thinking, a problem w/ the actuator. W/ my '81, the light coming up has to do w/ the actuator, and the light going down is dealing w/ the sealing gromet on the back. There is a sight that may help you, although deals w/ a later year, but check it out; http://www.corvette-101.com See if it helps you at all. And go to the "vacuum" section.
