I'm in the process of converting a 1981 Corvette to a non-emissions carbureted setup. On the firewall, mounted to the same bracket as the MAP sensor are two relays bearing the same part number. My wiring diagram doesn't match either of these two relays. Does anyone know what these two relays are? Thanks.

 

what manuals do you have,mine are a pain to get at,so if they are the same i wont dig them out

 

My wiring diagrams came from an OLD Mitchell's repair manual for 1981 vehicles. Some wiring colors match, some don't.

 

thats what i have.did they have the elect. component locator book back then?

On my '81, the only 2 relays that I see which are the same, both mounted on a fire wall bracket on the driver side, one in the front of the bracket and one in the back of the same bracket, are the 1. "EGR Relay" in the front, and 2. the "Air Relay" in the back. The "Air Relay" is located right next to the "Vacuum Sensor,"located on that same bracket. Are these the two? Both are part of that damn Computer Command Control System.
