Interior dye question
Greetings forum members, I have a 1979 Vet with green interior. The seats had some rips and tears so I purchased a pair of black leather seat covers to replace the old seat covers. I found a great deal for the black seats. Can I dye the black leather seats green to match the car's interior? I see that the lighter color materials are dyed darker but can black leather be dyed to a lighter color such as green? If this is possible where can I purchase the dye to match my 1979 green interior? Thanks in advance for all responses.

Welcome to the forum.
The aftermarket has suppliers such as Corvette America and Mid-America Corvette which probably carry interior dyes. Like you said though it's going to be hard to go from dark to light. Even if you can do it, I suspect adhesion will be your biggest problem. You might check with a local shop that does automotive interior work and see if they have any recommendations.
