my clutch is real hard to push in, is the stock one this hard.what would be a easier onto Put in.

 

My clutch was always easy to push in which is why I plan on replacing it with the OEM Borg Warner clutch. Sounds like you may have a high-performance replacement.

 

thanks for the reply, i guess I will have to go with a stock clutch. when I was younger I wanted that type of clutch. lol

 

put a new 11 inch clutch in my 75 corvette, but could not get the one inch pedal play . some where along the line someone may have changed some thing. solved the problem with a 65 corvette adjustable lower arm. now works great.

 

Didn't your clutch push rod have a double nut adjustment on the crank arm next to the left side of the engine?

 

yes , but it would run out of tread like it was to short

 

Did you replace anything besides the clutch?

 

no, but I did notice a lot of side movement on the clutch pedal. may need new bushings , but I do not have a idea how to get in there other then pulling the dash out.
