l-82 aftermarket intake

RE: l-82 aftermarket intake
Hi whiteray, welcome to the websight.
Whats the best intake? Thats a trick question, everything you do to the engine requires to run in balance.
If you keep the stock intake your okay for a daily driver or you can install a blower and have fun at the track? How much HP do you want? You have to look at the total package, if you change the intake you'll need a better carb, and for the exaust- headers how much noise do you want to make.
A long time ago my friend gave me a 2 four barrel intake for my 66 Vette, I could smoke those skiney tires from here to tomorrow, but that's another story.
Were you thinking of changing to a polished intake just to make in look nice under the hood? If so than did you see the last three "Horsepower" shows? They did a ground up resteration on a C-3. They put on a serpenteen belt and all the accessories were crome or polished, it looked great. Pete.
