I agree with Bill!
2" is to much of a choke.
I have 2" exhaust on my 74 and I have plenty of back pressure.

Starship,
Think that guy who owns the vet you posted has any problems geeting in and out without getting burned by the pipes

As one who has had the Hooker sidepipes, I can say that you'll only burn your leg once and then you learn how to swing your legs way out when getting out.

Shark,
Would you ever put them on you Vet again?
I am getting serious about it and any info would help me make up my mind.

I've still got mine and plan to put 'em back on whenever I get it back together. One reason is that I still don't have the paint between the ribs on my side exhaust covers.

With the muffler inserts, they really aren't that loud.

Where and how do the sidepipes bolt on the car.
To the frame?

The pipe has a bracket near the end of it that bolts to the frame in the keyhole slot that is the same one used by the factory sidepipes. You'll need a couple of rubber biscuits on each side to isolate the exhaust from the frame. You can use the same ones as the factory setup or make your own. The other end of the pipe is clamped to the collector with an integral clamp.
