Hey, just bought a set of stainless long tube headers off of ebay and I'm trying to install them on a 1979 corvette. They have no identification on them as to who makes them. The problem is they hang really low. About 3" lower than the factory exhaust pipe. Is this normal, or just a wrong fit? Any help is greatly appreciated.

They could be designed for use with side pipes, can ya show us some pics?

 

I once had a set of headers and they were at the same level as the factory exhaust cuz it was a straight shot thru the cross member.

 

sounds like Chevel or camaro headers.
