I'm trying to find someone in houston, a mechanic who is not to expensive. I have a 73 BB that won't start. I think it may be a wire or something not sure. I checked the battery, the starter. both are good. if anyone knows of anyone. please, I would like to corvette run again.

O.K. dude. If the engine turns over with the starter, you have spark from the distributor and coil, and fuel to the carb. It should run. If either of these ain't happnin', it's a no go. No fuel, check for clogged fuel filter. No spark from distributor, check for spark from coil. (I assume that one day it ran and the next it didn't.) If you're not affraid to get your hands a little dirty, e-mail me and I can walk you through some more quick tests that may help you out.
