Welcome to the forums. Not sure on early corvettes (the blue flame straight 6 was blue I believe) but 60`s up to 76 were orange, 77 and up were blue. After that they went black somewhere. The 77 I have is an early 77 which was blue but the engine numbers say it`s a 76 left over engine, I did not notice any orange paint on it under the blue.. Post some pictures sometime, we all like pictures. A complete restoration will take a while. Don't worry about asking questions, someone is bound to have an answer. Or try and help you find one. Keep posting your progress. Good Luck..

Great find! Yes we would like pictures, I also believe that your engine should be orange.

If you have issues posting pictures which I did, Can`t remember who walked me thru it Harley or Shark. Do a story line then hit the box at the bottom that says Go Advanced. that will take you down to a little box that says manage my attachments, hit on that and it will ask from source your pictures are coming from files, albums or photos. However is the easiest for you, I use files from the computer. E mailed from my iPhone to me then transfered to files. That should post your pictures. then hit. Submit Reply that should post your pictures and statements..

Thanks for the info on the engine color right now the engine is corporate red but I almost 100% positive this is not correct. I will post some pics as soon as I can.

Inside the warehouse getting ready to bring it to its new home.

For its age it looks to be in good shape, the rear bumper does not look stock. I think the flip up bumpers look better anyway. I am hearing that C-3`s corvettes are becoming very popular these days. Enjoy your new hobby.

Welcome to the forum. The rear bumper looks like an '80-'82 cover. Pretty sure the engine was Chevy orange. Be careful what brand of paint you get as I found some are red. I think I settled on Tempo brand but that's been a long time ago.
