It is easier to add the links below to explain, and you will get the whole story. My username when they banned me was Shovels and Vettes. Seaches on that username and that forum will show you the much bigger, longer and uglier story as to all my engine problems created by TWO proclaimed expert engine builders. The first link, I go into extensive and exhausting detail as to the entire build on my current engine. I am stilling completing the installation, and it will not run till spring at this point, winter is arriving in PA.

Ok I can see where you are coming from. Inserting read, I haven't read it all yet but I will try. More reading I'm sure will answer all my questions on your engine. That's true about BB torque and it is a Big heavy pig, unless you use aluminum heads and intake manifold to make it the same weight as a full sized cast sb, but that weight loss is expensive.

After catching up on some of your history, and paying for top notch work and not receiving it. Yes I think I would Bitter also. I'm glad you are jumping back in and building the engine you wanted, and have the 77 the way you want it to be. Good for you, keep us informed of your progress. We are always here to listen.

Yes, bitter is the right word for it, followed being censored by that forum because several posters didn’t like my comments. Those poster just could not stand that I named names, and blamed these builders for their huge failures, costing me thousands of dollars. Plus…as you have seen… I am different than their mob. Results….i get banned, which is absolute bull****.

Well, you probably saved someone some money and heartbreak. I have found there's a lot of forums out there that are full of people who have no idea what they are talking about. And a lot of them have never turned a wrench on their own. I used to build motors for a living when I was younger. I've seen just about everything before 1990 in pieces. The biggest trick is if you make a mistake, own it. Fix it make the customer happy. It seems like you're fitting in just fine here.

I find it hard to believe that an engine builder didn't know how to prep a bare block, sounds like a rookie non professional mistake. They won't be in business long if they keep building engines like that. You paying that much money for parts and they mess it up I would say ya you have the right to condem there work, you paid for that right. If I messed up someones engine like that I would legally be responsible to repair it at no charge to them or at least make it right somehow. It's too hard to build engines for people anymore, Installing a crate engine maybe, but they would have to be a good friend.

It seems like most of the traffic here is first timers looking for an answer to their problem and after they get it, they usually don't come back. But that's okay because most of the regulars here just want to try to help others.
There's not a lot of discussion about things like will the C8 Zora be just a package on the ZR1 or a separate model all to itself. Things like that don't typically crop up here.

There are a lot of readers out there but most don't contribute. I tried getting a discussion awhile back on the E Ray and the 4 door corvette SUV all I got was Cricket's. On the other forum I read people said that they wouldn't park next to an E Ray. I think there are a lot of guys still upset that Corvettes don't have round tail lights anymore. I was always over it. The C8 Zora and the ZR1 are some serious machines I wish I had that kind of money with a shed to park them in. We are always open for discussions if anyone wants to.
