Default Power door locks

Has anyone had any luck restoring their power door locks? I replaced the solenoids on mine with some junk I bought on ebay. Either the new solenoids are weak as sheet or my linkages are bound up (I know - sounds like a personal problem).

Thanks!

WD40 is your friend. I'm presuming that you already soaked the bugger with it...

I can't be much help on that one DV8, I've got power windows but not locks. I'd say the factory linkage is stiff.

Can you disconnect the linkage and see if the solenoids work by themselves?

DeeVee,
Anytime moisture got into my doors, the linkage for the power lockswould getvery stiff. My solution was to clean the heck out of the entire linkage and lubricate it well, especially that round silver pivit point, make sure that the plastic under the door panel is in good shape and sealed completely, and that the rubber molding on the top of the door is in good shape and keeping all the water out of the door. From messing around with that linkage quite afew times, I've found that it's just not the smoothest or easiest set-up to lock and/or unlock, even by hand with the panel off. A heck of a set-up...
