I've got a '82 and I get a whinning noise when turning to the right only. The power head has been replaced with no change in the noise. I've been told that the pump may have low pressure of the rod on the cylinder may be slightly bent. Does anyone have any thoughts or past experience with this problem. Rember that it doesn't make the noise turning left, only right. Thanks for any input. JT

 

i had the same problem in my '80. it turned out to be the power assist control valve, not cheap cost me 500.00
