Three years ago, I had lowered my front end by cutting the stock springs about a coil and a half. The rear, I had installed 10" spring bolts. I have driven the car approx 80 miles since then (to/from a couple of shows).

I noticed that the front has finally sagged and the rear had always seemed 'bouncy' on th freeway.

Well my car turns 25 in January and I want to get the car all registered and 'drivable'. However, I would like to maintain its low stance.

I would like to get some advice on how to 'properly' lower the front and rear end. Are 'correct' lower springs the only way to go on the front? How about the rear? How do I determine if my rear leaf spring is shot?
Is there like coil over conversion kit where I could fine tune the ride height?

I don't know how involved you want to get, but I changed out my entire suspension to a fully adjustable system, that I can adjust ride height and spring responce on all four corners. It cost around $2500. If your are interested, I'll give you more info.

 

Nice ride!! I am just in the process of doing my 75. I bought the stage 4 suspension kit from Mid America Motors. It is not as adjustable as C3's but it includes lower than stock and higher rated coils for the front and new fibreglass rear spring plus shocks,heavy duty tie rod tubes,heavy duty adjustable rear stut rods Front and rear sway bars etc.for $1000.00 . It all depends what you want the end result to do.Good luck

 

I got mine from Ecklers, Max Performance Suspension Package, bolts in with no mods required. Took a deep breath, signed the check, and don't regret it.
