pg- well thanks for all you guys ideas...they all look impressive. since i've already invested alot in my daily driver, my goal with the vette is to just improve the sound and becost effective.idon't have the originalgrilles, brkts, fasteners or speakers, buying all this will cost $150-200 and on top of that is their could be some vibration with all the mtg hardware required.i did find a post for building your own enclosures maybe i'll go that route. but i'll keep looking what's out there.

well thanks to you guys...a decision has been made...drum roll please. after careful thought and review...well...i decided to just go with the stock setup. why? well, in the back i got speakers, brkts, grilles and fasteners for around $100 as opposed to fabricating a setup to allow for big boom bam sounds). eventually i'll replace the hu with a corvette am/fm. (no need for 8-tracks, cassettes or cb anymore.) cause i realize i'll probably mostly be listening to the roar of the motor over the news and weather reports.see you guys on the road.
