Was trying to replace rear strut rod bushing but cannot get the shock mount out of strut rod. Have tried penetrating oil, heat and shock mount removal tool with a sledge hammer. Still no luck in getting the parts to come apart.

An ideas?????

 

Get a bigger hammer, the way your doing it is correct, just keep hiting the removal tool it will come out eventually. PG

 

You can take it to a machine shop, and have them pressed out.
