Default Spark plug and wire replacement

I have a 1981 C-3. Has anyone had the problem I'm having getting to the plugs to replace them and plug wires routed between the block and motor mounts. Two front plug wires cant be removed or replaced with the boot on the wire. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

When I did them on my '77 a few years back I believe they went under the motor mounts. I don't recall having any issues replacing them.
However, if you are replacing yours I would cut the old ones and look at a more reasonable routing. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum. I think originally the spark plug wires to the front two plugs on each side went through the motor mounts and also had a metal shield on each side of the block. I'll check my assembly manual and see if I can expand on that any.

The assembly manual doesn't show any of the RFI shielding. The only shielding it shows are the heat shields between the plugs and the exhaust manifold. It also doesn't show any detail with respect to the motor mounts. It simply shows the spark plug wires going along the lip of the crankcase pan.
