Default Speaker Upgrade

Hey all,

I am planning out the replacement ofmy stock 1971 radio to an aftermarket Custom Autosound USA-2. It looks pretty straightforward. I am also planning to swap the original speakers in the dash and the kick panels with new ones that can handle the 200w radio. Any suggestions on which speakers I can drop in as a direct replacement without having to cut anything up?

Thanks!

-Ross

I have heard some rumblings about the Custom Autosound radios not being well made. Investigate the product thoroughly before you buy. Seems that there are a lot of defective units produced by them.

Thanks for the info and the compliment! Do I have any other choice in vintage appearance upgrade stereos other then the ones from Custom Autosound or Concourse?

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum, nice ride!
You can buy a bezel that will accept any radio thats out there, that gives you more choices on featurs.

You have to be real lucky to get the top dash off and on without cracking it. PG.
