Anyone have any experience with replacing the Bose enclosure in the door of a C4? I tried on Friday but just couldn't make enough room to get it out. The amp went south on the one in the car and I have a replacement but MAN!!! That box is way bigger than I thought it would be. I took out all the small screws from the metal panel and left the window up. But I just couldn't make enough room to get it out. Any suggestions from someone who may have done this would be greatly apprecieated.

that box should come out i have had mine out before, door panel off,4 screws off.window up,unplug wires to box,and slide out.can be done you have to magiver it out,

 

Yeah, it's supose to rain this weekend again. I'll tear into it again. Did you disconnect your door release? I think that is stoping the metal plate from sliding far enough back to get it out.

Thanks for the feedback. At least I know it can be done. I know when I replaced the contacts in the selinoid on the starter, it was a combination of twists and turns to get the starter out but it came out without taking anything else apart.
