Timing ?

Timing ?
Hey Guys,
78 Corvette 350cid, Has been running great.
Now after it heats up it cranks over like the battery is dead, after it cools it cranks right up again.
Alternator is charging and battery is 4 months old and been tested. OK
I can only think of timing but don't want to rip the engine apart until I speak to the experts. YOU.
Any advise would be helpful. Thanks

They lose torque (and struggle to turn) when the heat causes resistance in the internal windings.

I agree with the old/weak starter diagnosis. Either a new replacement starter or a high torque mini starter (made for high heat applications) should solve the problem. One other area often overlooked is the condition of the battery cables and the cleanlines/tightness of the connections. Loose, dirty or frayed battery cables will contribute to resistance in the circuit and make it harder for the battery and starter to do their jobs.
