RE: VIN Help
The only thing that the VIN will tell you is when your car was built. All 68's were built at the St. Louis assembly plant, and they all had V-8's.The 6 digit sequential number (last 6 of the VIN) will tell you which month you car was built. The trim tag is located on the A-pillar on the left side. You will see it when the driver's door is open. The trimtag will tell you what color the body and interior were when the car was built.Without the build sheet, you will not be able determine what options were included on the car other thanthe obvious items like factoryA/C, tilt and telescope steering column, etc... I can tell you what month and determine approximately what day your car was built give or take a day or so.
