ok now i know im a newbie for sure. i looked on the forum and cant find the answer. what the heck is the procedure to "turn off" the change oil light. i changed the oil two days ago and the light came on tonight coming home from a cruise in. man i really need a manual..lol thanks!

ok that works..lol. now what is the preset for this? 3000 miles? if it is, then i have a problem. when i bought the car the previous owner used mobil 1 oil so i wanted to keep the same oil in. i added the mobil 1 clean 5000 oil to it (which btw, runs very cool). so is there a way to set the mileage interval or is that preset and cannot be changed? thanks.

ok kewl. would you still change the oil at 3000 even though mobil 1 says 5000 mile oil changes?

 

I change the oil in my '92 with Mobile 1 Extended Life at every 3000k.

 

Come on man, you got a vette. Change the oil every 3000. Is it better to be safe, or sorry? I change my oil once a year and only put about 1800 miles on a year.
