Default 1984 Crossfire Alternatives

I recently bought a 1984 Corvette with the crossfire injection system, I pulled the trigger before I learned the crossfire isn’t exactly people’s favorites (there was nothing wrong with it and it had only 40k miles), I was wondering if you guys knew any alternative injection systems that could also help me get a few more horses out (p.s. this is my first car and I’m honestly not exactly sure what I’m doing)

Honestly, if it's not broken, don't fix it! Changing a fuel injection system is costly, and just changing the system without other modifications will do very little. That car running properly has enough power to get you into trouble already...

There was an after market intake manifold years back not sure it's still available. It was less restrictive same style but more open inside and added more power. I will search around and see what happened to that product. I think it was called a renigade. Different injections would require a different ECM, Same thing if you put a carburetor on needs a new disturbitor no ECM, makes it less self tunning.

Doesen't look as if the renegade is being built anymore. there is the option of finding one off eBay maybe or having the one you have worked over to open it up for better breathing. I was also thinking not sure if anyone has done this, but to use a dual quad manifold (it would have to breath better) and use throttle body adapters on both tbs, I have used the adapters on a single TB and it worked good (on a crate engine) so why would it not work for two? It would take a little plumbing and throttle linkage adapting that wouldn't be that bad, and keep the originnal ECM. check the ecm most of them of that day have had the prom replaced in them, its easy to tell by removing the prom cover and looking at the prom without removing it. In those days the hypertech was most common and they worked good, Up the timing, change the thermostat to a cooler one and better gas. that gave you more power and also better mileage. So there are many options and do you have emission testing I your area? That's a consideration also.
