Default 1984 Weird Electrical/Running Problem

HIya everyone, at a bit of a loss here. Just recently got rid of a Code 42 on my 1984 Corvette, and when the car is started it runs perfectly. It will run at around 185 temp, with good throttle response, even on side streets. However, after about 15 minutes of running, something will change.

The dash dims, and the throttle response changes, it feels more sluggish and I need to be more heavy footed to get it going. It will continue to run, but it will not be quite right. Also, when this starts, the car starts running hotter and hotter, between 195 and 210 on the same streets it was running 185 before this starts. When parked, if you keep your foot steady on the throttle at about 1500 RPM, it will pulse between 1300 and 1500- it does not do this before this problem starts. Finally, at the last stage, the coolant sensor goes completely haywire and starts climing insanely fast, going from 220 to 250 within 5 seconds, but when you turn the car off and back on, it will go back down into the normal idling temp 220-230 area.

Another thing to note, is after a while of having this problem, the car will eventually be unable to start if you shut it off. I originally thought it was vapor lock due to hot starting, but with all these other problems I think there is a sensor getting hot and starting to give bad info to the ECM. However, the car is throwing no codes, so theres no sensor that stops "working" perse, just maybe giving bad info.

Any ideas on what it could be?

I'm not even close to Mech's league. However, have you tested your alternator?

Just a thought

Alternator was actually changed about 6 months ago, and its charging fine, have already tested it.

The no codes is what is really throwing me off here. I was thinking engine temp sensor, but it would have to be giving the PCM bad info instead of just not working, since if it stopped working it would throw a code.
