I have a 1989 corvette, I am trying to figure out what the problem may be. It only starts some of the time. With a full charge on the battery you can try to start it and it will only crank. It will crank until you run the battery down. Then sometimes you can go and try starting it and it will start right up. Sounds to me that it could be the electrical or maybe needing a fuel filter or could you guys and gals help me with this problem? Thanks davyboy

 

Being no one has responded, I think fuel or electrical as you asked are most likely. I'd start with a fuel filter just to take that out of the picture. When it won't start then get a fuel pressure gauge in and see if you have pressure. Next would be juice to the injectors and then finally spark at the plugs.
Also see if you have any codes set so read them.
