I have a 1989 that just died. I had been driving all day, stopped for fuel and when I tried to start it, NOTHING! No dash lights, couldnt shift out of park, just completely dead. I called AAA and after about 1.5 hours they arrived. Driver attempted a jump start and it worked. Drove home, shut it down and tried to restart...NOTHING. Bought and installed new battery, dash lights came on, then died...no cranking at all and again cannot shift out of park. Really need some help...I am at the mercy of the dealer and I want to avoid them if at all possible. Thanks to you all in advance.
