Default RE: 1990 air conditioning

You shouldn't add any oil unless you have replaced a component. Also, the car only holds about 2.2 lbs after conversion or 80% of R12 capacity. Is the car not cooling or you have a freon leak? I wouldn't just add freon without checking low and, more importantly high side pressures. Ideally, you would like around 30 to 40 lbs on low side and 175 to 225 on the high side if your cooling fan is working properly and the system has no restrictions. You will get variations on both high and low. This is where experience comes in at looking at pressure readings. [8D]
