It has been determined that the speaker amp has gone bad in my 1990 Bose Gold Radio/Cassette player. My question is there an amp in each speaker, or in just one speaker? If just one, which one? Up front or in rear? I am the original owner of this vehicle. Are Amps available for this vehicle still?

 

Welcome to the forums. I believe every speaker has its own separate amp. You can replace or have them rebuilt. If you have more than one speaker with a problem it could be the radio head has issues. If you want to isolate the problem speaker, turn the radio up and place your ear by the speaker. Considered to be one of the best sounding systems of its time..
