Default 1990 Corvette w/ 383 stroker

I just need some opinions,
I want to put a nice exhaust on my car, I just put the motor in the car and I'm getting the car tuned this weekend, but I know I need a new exhaust system. What should I go with? Right now I'm looking at MagnaFlow or Borla. Which is better. I'm looking for a nice deep sound. Someting that just sounds good and has little restrictions. Does anybody know? Thanks.[

In my opinion, i think Magnaflow has a more European sound.

I love Borla.

I saw a Z28 with Borla and it was low, pure, and really throaty. Borla makes great tips too. Also check out Flowmaster Super 40s or 30 series.

I have the Borla Stingers with dual tips on my C5 and I wouldn't want any other exhaust system. It has a very deep and throaty sound.

Had Flowmaster Delta 40 's for one day ! Interior resonance was overbearing 1000-2000 rpm range , wasnt loud outside at all. Put on Targa style mufflers, way less interior resonance and sound better outside!! 179.99 with LT1 tips !

Borla makes a number of different exhaust systems with different sounds (and then a wide variety of different tips for every one so there are gobs of options). Corsa is the same way. So be a bit careful: you make have heard one Borla but they make other types with very different sounds. the make the Stinger and many other types.

Makes note of this: If you look closely at your stock exhaust, you will see that the gases from the engine go into and out of the same side of each muffler - the exhaust pipe coming from the engine enters each muffler on its inner face (side nearest center of car) and the gases exit there, too, on their way to the exhaust tips. The gas changesdirection insdie the muffler - the muffler uses reflection and reversal to control noise volume. This makes for a certain identiable "sound quality" in EVERY exhaust that uses this reversal (most aftermarket exhausts do too). It also almost guarrantees that there will be a resonance (not always but usually annoying) at some RPM.

By contrast, the Borla stingers, and the GHL exhaust are a different type of exhaust than the others. The gas enters on the innner side of the muffler, but exist on the outer side and then enters a pipe that curves back around to the standard exhaust tip locations. The gas does not change direction. This gives them a unique sound quality (which I like better) and seems to rid them of resonances.
