1992 convertible how to put top down
Okay, so it's a dumb question. I just got a '92 Vette. The seller showed me how to put the top down. It looked really easy, but since coming home, have been unable to put it down. Unlatched fine, then what? Thanks. I admit to being a dummy.
If it's like my 90 convertible...
The latch releases the back of the top where it it attached to the rear deck.
The top inside of the roof by the windshield has a latch on each of the driver and passanger side. Open each latch.
Lift up on the back of the of the roof where it released from the rear deck.
Now lift the rear deck.
Lower the back of the roof.
From the front lower the whole roof into the open compartment.
Close the deck.
I do suggest a window pillow placed as the top folds in to keep the plastic window from creasing.

Dont forget to release the deck you need to press the deck release button. One is under the deck on the drivers side, one is inside your center console, one is on the divers door in the back where it latches (I think both doors have one). Either one of the listed buttons will do it.
