I'm pretty far from bein' an expert, but let's make sure nothin' is wrong here...

Do you have air in the lines? Ruptured brake booster? Pulling to one side?

Hardly an expert...just reitterate info....
Provided they are in good working condition already and that is still unsatisfactory there are a couple options. Its kinda funny since when they came out they were touted incar magsas "best brakes ever with zero fade". Modern brakes have gotten just so much better they now arent "good enough"!

For $20 you can replace the Brake Bias Spring. This simple fix shortens stopping distance by claimed 20 Feet from 60mph. I have it installed myself but I never did any measurements but I can tell you that braking does feel more balanced.... Less nose dive since it basicly lets you use the rear brakes more. Originally only available from DougRippieMotorsports, places like Mid America now sell it.

You can actually upgrade to the 1988 2 piston calipers and plus sized rotors (front only). Many vendors advertise this as the Big Brake Upgrade Kit. You CAN use this with OEM 84 wheels.... but ONLY if they were manufactured by Enkei and NOT Modern. To see who made yours they are stamped on the back inner side of wheel.
