Default 85 corvette turn signals

Hi, i recently bought a 85 corvette and realized the turn signals no longer worked as well and the dash not illuminating for the turn signal. Was just wondering if the flasher could make both not work

Welcome to the forums. Yes it could. If you are not getting a light on, to the dash and outside turn lights I would guess a fuse.Unless your signal stat (flasher) is stuck in the open position you get no lights same as bad fuse (rare but not likely) The signal stat is votage related and triggered by load (Normaly closed) if its stuck closed you would have lights on steady no pulse. I`m thinking fuse first then signal stat then the signal switch itself or steering column wiring. Its got to be one of those, Thats all I got, I hope that helps with ideas. Its not as complicated as it sounds. Let me know what you find, I`m curious.

That's good, nothing major. I`m surprised it`s tied into a Blower, ok if that works, Normally turn signals are tied into back-up lights or park lights, If it works I would leave it alone. Happy motoring..

Fieldscasey73: Welcome to the forum.

He may have meant a blown fuse. 😉 Or not.
