89 Starts only after it sits - weak noid light
Having a problem with a 1989 that won't restart immediately. The car's starter is fine, the sytem is getting both spark and fuel. There is a WEAK noid light. After the car sits for a few hours it starts fine.
My mechanic feels the weak noid light is the problem (no light would be an easy fix, or at least the repair would be apparent). Thinking is electrical but where? ECM checks out fine.

RE: 89 Starts only after it sits - weak noid light
Some have suggested checking the injectors. Ohms shoud be about 16. One injector in each bank is bad. With the bad ones disconnected the engine restarted with no problem.
Having all 8 replaced with "Standard" mfg injectors.
GM wonders why its going bankrupt. Designes a decent product but then buys the cheapest components.
Thanks for the help, my mechanic was scratching his head.
