i have a 91 vette with a l98 and its idling kind of rough so i did a complete tune up, cleaned the throttle body and timed it and it rand better but still a little rough. any suggestions on that. also when i put the car in reverse or drive it sputters really bad for about a second then shuts right off but will start right back up. any suggestions will help. the car has been sitting for a while and it ran good before it was stopped

Default 91 L98 problems please help

hey im new to the forum and on all the threads under everybodys replies they have a catchprhrase or one-liner that is unique to their profile. My question is how do i get this on my profile? Oh and one more thing, my profile says C-Main Driver. For now its true but if i get better how do i change that? Please help.

Don't know a lot about the later vettes, but have dealt with an very similar problem on 2 occasions lately. Both times the solution was to change the fuel pump but I believe a replacement, thorough cleaning or simple removal of the strainer on the in-tank fuel pump would have probably produced the same result. Have you checked your fuel pressure during these episodes? Also I believe there is a fuel filter somewhere in the fuel rail, definitely one under the car. Have you changed either or both lately? Good Luck!

there is a fuel filter under right frame rail right behind wheel where lines turn 2 motor, and the back y pipe can cause these problems.
