Unhappy 92 won't start

After being in winter storage I charged my battery and started my 92 and was letting in run. I got involved in something else and forgot about it running. It was on reserve so it did not have much gas in it and ran out. When I later remembered, the battery was dead. I charged the battery, but now it won't start. Can you burn up the fuel pump if you run out of gas and the key is still on?
Thanks
Tom

Default No Start

Yup,
Hopefully the fuse went first.
If the pump is OK and fuse not blown, you should hear the pump run for about 2 seconds after turning the key to run (not start).

Have you checked to see if you have fuel pressure at the rail?

The fuel rail. The fuel lines come in from the passenger side. The lines run into the fuel rails that lay on both sides of the engine (over or just to the inside of the valve covers. the sit above the fuel injectors. The injectors are plugged into this rail. On the passenger side rail there is a Schrader valve. You take a fuel pressure gauge and screw on to this valve. Then you can check your fuel pressure to see if you are getting fuel to the rails.

Thankyou,
The fuse was blown - replaced it but still not running. It does run for a few seconds with ether. Must be fuel pump

Thankyou,
It appears that it is not getting fuel, for it will run a few seconds with starter fluid. I think I know someone with a fuel pressure gauge.
