Default 94 corvette rough idle and buckles when driving on highway

I haven’t had my corvette for very long, but since the beginning it would idle roughly when car is warm. At a light it felt like the car was trying to take off on me. Recently when driving on the highway the car started to buckle and the engine light turned on. When I got home and let it cool the light turned off. Any ideas? Is is the optispark?

Welcome to the forums. There should be a code stored in the ECM if the engine light came on. use a code reader to retrieve a stored code. If you don't have a reader you can buy one they are not very expensive. Go from there to eliminate any problems. Without a code reader you are only guessing the problem. And sometimes with a code reader you are still guessing problems. Optispark maybe fuel pump pressure maybe or fuel filter. Start with a code reader.

Have you made any progress on your rough running yet. There alot of things to check, takes a little time and patience. Try and figuring out what work the previous owner did on it also helps.

Welcome to the forum. Most auto parts stores will read your codes out for free.

Everyone should own a code reader that works on the vehicle they own. I think it's part of vehicle maintenance, like screw drivers and pliers.

Well it's been a few days. Have you found a code reader to read the check engine light?
