94 LT1 fuel in gas - need advice
Had problem with engine cold start where it would fire up and then after 5 to 10 sec would load up and start spewing smoke (fuel rich) out exhaust. After warm up engine would run fine. After input from (74HarleyThankyou) found large vac leak from hose running from MAF sensor
block to rear of manifold. Repaired loose hose connection and now wont start. Further investigation found fuel in oil pan. Pulled fuel rail and did not find any injectors leaking when pressurized. Installed vac bleeder tool to the Manifold pressure tester and it held at 15 inch also no evidence of fuel at vac port / hose. My next step is to test for injector spray pattern but not sure if that would be a cause adding fuel to the oil. Any advice to what next? Motor has less than 3K on rebuild. New fuel pump / filter. No external fuel leaks. Fuel pressure starts at 40 stabilizes at 35 for extended period of time. Also, I did crank it for a bit trying to get it started - would that be enough add fuel to the pan. Looking at the dip stick - it appears to be 1/4" over full. Thanks
