when the light first came on I had my brakes done they replaced the rotors and pads and the light still comes on they said everthing looked fine but I get a slight rattle while driving, is it maybe I have some air in the line and its relieving pressure on the pads when I drive ?? and in turn making the light come on??? somebody help me please I hate to revamp my braking system for a simple fix

 

Sounds like the ones who did your brakes left the antirattle clips off the brake pads. Which brake light is on, the yellow or red? Yellow usually mean ABS problems, red may mean parking brake switch, proportioning valve switch stuck to one side, and if your car has a level sensor for the master cylinder, seen those go bad to. You can check those by unplugging the switches 1 at a time to see if the light goes out.[8D]

 

mech259 is right on the money. the only thing I can add is to check your brake fluid level for the brake light issue.
