ac help
I have a 1989 coupe,with a bad Temperature Mode Door Actuator part #16025581.
might be called a temp. blender. I have it rigged up so in the summer the ac will
come on but it is full on. or I can shut it off for the colder months and it
is full hot. Does anyone know where to get this part or a fix around this, I'm told
the part is discontinued.

RE: ac help
Wow, thanks that is the part I've been looking for, I took my old one out and noticed the
plug in board looked dirty, I'm going to clean the leads and try it again, if that doesnt work
I'll order the replacement.
thanks, again

RE: ac help
the gm part number is 16025581 but my parts guy says he can't get one, tried some
used part guys, but no luck, this kind of worries me because you have no guaretee the
used part even works. Do you have a good link to AC Delco?

RE: ac help
The problem with GM numbers is they tend to change them often. Call a dealership parts dept. and give them the number and see if it's been superceded with a new part number. Sometimes there are multiple part numbers for one part. Also ask them if they can provide you with the corresponding Delco number. It can be very tricky to cross some of the GM numbers to Delco, but once you have the Delco number to give the parts stores it can become much easier. When I managed an Advance Auto, we could get parts that weren't even listed in the computer and sometimes the part numbers would be in the system but wouldn't come up under the car's listings or in the books. Also I seem to remember some parts didn't even get assigned Delco numbers they just used the GM numbers.
