Alarm Problems
I purchased my first corvette and have no idea how the alarm system works. I've been manually locking the doors because every time i electronicaly lock the doors and shut them, then unlock the door and open it, the alarm sounds. I'm always holding my breath as to wheather or not the alarm will sound. Its also quite embarassing.

RE: Alarm Problems
1st, what year is your car? One of two things might be happening. There is a sensor ring that attaches to the door lock key tumbler that the factory alarm module looks at to see if you are using your key. Second, each door has a black plastic switch that activates your "Security" light on your dash. My money is with the tumbler sensor. Have to pull door panel to gain access to switch, not to fun of a job to do. [8D]

RE: Alarm Problems
I set off my alarm for the first time today , I had the hood open and tryied to push the car back without the key in the ignition so I pushed in the clutch and heaved backwards ( didn't really know I had an alarm) Beep Beep Beep unpluged the horns then proceeded to figure out how to turn the d@m thing off after about five min. of doing things I locked and unlocked the door with the key ,,,,Presto ,,, plugged in the horns again .My wife had a good laugh
