Anyone ever tried this???
I was looking in this JEGS catalog that I got a couple days ago and saw this and was wondering how well it would really work. I have a 1990 w/o MAF sensor. My '90 uses speed density and this product is meant for just that. I guess the stock filter, housing, and hose have to be removed. K&N..... can't go wrong for $34.99......right? The stock size K&N filter that fits into the stock housing is like $79.99. My birthday is coming up and I was hoping to get my windows tinted and maybe this along with my plugs and plug wires. Soooooooooo..........What do yall think?

The funny thing is that it says it will work on 1990-1992 TPI and will not fit an LT1. Well, "hello", there are no factory 1992 TPI cars. Only LTx from 1992 through the end of the C4 run.

So.....................is it a good product choice? I am thinking of getting this and removing the stock breather. I was wondering if it would still get the same air flow to it being that far up away from the front of the car. Any thoughts on that?

This is not entirely true. The 1992 camaros, firebirds, and trans ams were all had the L98 as an engine option. It is correct for the Corvette though.

Been reading for the past 3 hours on the write up that Black86Vette did on his site and on other forums. After consideration I am just going to go with the K&N-cut-lid design. Looks to be a better idea. Thanks for your comments.
