Having a hell of a time selling my 85, priced fair at $8,000. Car in great condition, not even getting calls from anybody. Ad's in auto trader, forums, vette club web sites, local paper. Had one person look at it and wanted it, then after having it checked out at dealer and passing he decided not to get it! I looked at e-bay but they are selling low ( 5-7k), just to low to sell my baby. I guess i will keep trying, two vette's does look damn good in the garage! thats my 94 below

 

sucks huh. Price for them is NOT high....Maybe once they get rarer down the road they will be worth more.

 

Yeah, the market seems to dip and for C4s it is low: the mid 80s models are caught in the middle now: too old to be "modern" and not yet old enough to be "classic. I know you hate to hear it,but I have seen clean 84-86 modelsgo for $5.5-6.5k.

 

Makes sense Lee, Last July when I traded my cousin for mine, (which I'm still proud of), he was trying to trade it and his truck for a new truck. The dealer,(crooks that they are), were only gonna give him $3700.00 for it. It was in great shape since my cousin is **** about maintenance and had lots of brand new stuff like alternator, weather stripping, hood, headlights, tires, etc all done at that dealership at their ridiculous shop rate, So they knew the history of the car. Those Bastards! LOL!

Hold out as long as you can my friend.

 

Might have to sell the honda and use the 85 for the daily driver. Not such a bad trade off, just hate to give up the gas mizer.

 

I just bought a black auto 85 vette for $4350, it needs a few interior plastic pieces, and a wiper switch.

Its a buyers market.

 

If I had 4000 to spare Id buy me another one. Better get em cheap while you can and hold on to them and then in abouot 40 years they will be worth some $$$$

 

That wouldn't be so bad. Although Honda does make a great car, useing a vette for a dailey driver ain't bad either.
My '87 gets the best gas milage of anything I have. 26-29 in town / 30-32 hwy. I love it.

 

You get that good of mileage in town??????? What the heck is done to your car......I get like 15 miles around town 22-25 on the highway.....Tell me how you get such good gas mileage????? Ive tried everything.....Ive freed up the exaust done a little weight reduction....Tires are good new sparkplugs distributor distributor cap rotor button coil....New radiator and waterpump.alll thats good....Sjeez Id love to get that good of gas mileage.
