Default Brake Issue

Today. The master cylinder and brake booster was replaced and all brakes were bled. It worked fine then I got on the road and had to hit the brakes hard and it felt like I was slamming brakes on a gravel driveway and the car started turning the right and the pedal went to the floor. Now when I got home in the driveway I held down teh pedal and theres alot of looseness in it. It also when you hold it down, sounds like a cat meowning from the brake area???? WTF???? Help please.

As for as the cat meowing sound, it sounds like a vacuum leak. I'd disconnect the vacuum line to the booster and plug it. Is the sound gone? If yes, you have a leak somewherefrom the booster itself to the calipers. If the sound continues, the leak is in the supply line to the booster. As for the rest of your problems, are you losing fluid? Pulling to the right woud seem the left side calipers aren't engaging. Soft pedal also could mean you are losing fluuid somewhere. I woud check the left brake lines first forsplits of pinholes. If they areoldone may have failed in the bleeding process. Also check the bleeding screws to assure they are tight and not stripped. I would also bleed the brakes again. This is usually a two person job. But it will be futile until you first check thevacuum and lines for integrity. Brakescan be a REAL bitch. Good Luck.

I am not trying to **** in your fruit loops but. It seems that every time I come on here you have another problem with your Vette. How many miles were on it when you bought it and what did you pay for it?
I got my 88 last Oct. payed a little over book for it $12K with 28K miles on it. It was in storage since 1999. I drove it for a day around town just to check it out. The next day I left Ohio and drove it to Phoenix. No problems and still running fine. It comes down to PAY ME NOW OR PAY ME LATER. I will always go for the up front cost and reliability.

86.....When I bought it I had `100,000 miles on it but it was in excellent condition. Seemed right good deal at 9,000 with a 30 day warranty. My fruitloops have been pissed in plenty of times......Not bothering me and yea, I have alot of problems....I know it sounds wack but I dunno. I drive it hard though....
