C4 a/c

I am replacing the A/C compressor but am keeping it R12. The problem is that the new compressor came with 3oz of R134a oil in it. Can it just be drained and replaced with R12 oil?

There's not a problem with using R-12 oil. place it with the drive pulley up in a pan, leave it awhile rotate it a few times and that should drain most of the oil.
