I have a 1996 barn find Corvette that has just recently went past 30k miles. In the original manual for the car it says it recommends an automatic transmission fluid change at around 30k miles. However, when I spoke to my trusted mechanic he told me that it didn't need a fluid change til it reached at least 100k miles. So my question for other C4 Corvette owners is when do you recommend changing this fluid? My Corvette is an automatic and has no transmission or any other issues.

 

Assuming that the car hasn't been operated for an extended period, I would recommend changing all of the fluids.
