Car stereo help!
I have a 94 vette W/O the Bose system installed. I'm trying to upgrade the system with a new head unit and rear speakers. The first problem I encountered is the Infinity 9623i (6 by 9s) screw holes are slightly smaller than the original pair. Do I need to modify the body or are there speakers out there that have an exact fit?
Secondly, I purchased a Pioneer DEH-P3900MP along with a Metra BB-WH6M2 wiring harness that does not match my factory connector. My vehicle has two inline connectors (7 and 9 pin) while the purchased harness has two rows of terminals as one connector. I also had difficulty finding the shroud that houses the stereo and makes it look like it belongs there. Walmart sells a wiring harness from Schorsce? I think, that won't fit either.
I really don't want to start hacking wires to compensate or modify body panels if the right parts are out there. Thanks again for any ideas.

This service bulletine says its for a 90-93 Corvette but I was under the impression a trouble code could be set for 90-96 cars if this resistor is not installed. Here is the link for the trouble code bulletine: http://www.corvetteforum.net/c4/dave8476/index4.shtml
