umm. Yea I saw this and checked mine. My car was made in november 1986 because I have the removable top and I took the felt off of it inside because its not a clear top and it said it was made in 11/18/86. I changed out valve covers but they are on the corners of the valve cover and the spark plugs I install are for cast iron. Why if my vettes a late 86 I guess have cast ironn? Will my VIN number help you guys help me figure out whats up?
Well, the easiest way to tell is mentioned above... look for the bolts that hold the valve covers on...

Yes, but the dead giveaway is the valve cover bolts. Center or rim?

All 1986 Convertible Corvettes came with aluminum heads. Do to late release of the convertible in 1986, the aluminum heads were on all convertible Corvettes.
