Hey Jack,
Having JUST done this job and thoroughly enjoying it.......... (fill in your favorite expletive here)........
I wound up using a swivel 5/8" socket on my 3/8" drive ratchet with a VERY short extension (1") and that did the deed. I unhooked the one obvious hose in the way and tied it back up to the windshield wiper arm.
For install of the new plugs, use anti-sieze ( I use the copper type for conductivity to ground ) and I used a short piece of rubber hose that slips over the porcelin of the spark plug and start them screwing into the head.
Remember, you're dealing with aluminum heads and steel sparking plugs. DO IT COLD.
hth,
Jim (freshly sparked)

Best advice you can get.Use a piece of rubber fuel line. You will be amazed how easy the plugsstart and go back in using this method.

Thanks Jim and others. The inner fender on that side has three pieces. The middle piece looks like it might give access to these two plugs. Anyone tried removing this middle panel to see? Jack

Forget the 3rd. panel.I solved the problem! I had surgery and had another wrist implanted just 3 inches abovemy original wrist on my left arm. Works like a charm for getting under that A.C. unit. If you need your plugs changed in your 90, call me, I'm for hire. I will be charging $1,000.00 per hour to help pay for the surgery. Oh yeah, you furnish the plugs too.Great board here! Gotem changed and will be on the road Wednesday A.M. to Flagstaff for the Corvette-n-America tour. Thanks again. j
