My cigarette Lighter looks like it started to rust because of a spill of some sort of liquid. I tried puting my cellphone charger in the cigarette lighter and it did not charge my cellphone. I was wondering what I could do to get it to work again.

 

make sure the fuse is good. then unplug the fuse and try to clean the socket well.

 

Has anyone replaced the cig lighter before? if so how hard is it?

 

1st, take the shifter **** off by pulling button out of shifter, then there is a snap ring around the shifter rod inside the shifter handle. You will need apair of snap ring pliers that open to the outside, take off snap ring. It may be hard to get the shifter **** off, but keep working at it. Then remove the top console cover. The cig. lighter has a back cover that screws on the front cover, after you unscrew that, it will come out the front. [8D]
